Welcome to 1001 Classic Short Stories and Tales Audio Podcast!  This is a hand-picked collection of favorites from writers like Jack London, Louisa May Alcott, Hans Christian Anderson, Edgar Allen Poe, Rudyard Kipling, and many more. I narrate the stories and often add background music and sound effects to bring the stories to life. These are suitable for the entire family, enjoyed by all ages and levels of literary experience, and often make great discussion starters for students who are just getting exposed to literature.

"Listen, my children, and you shall hear, of the midnight ride of Paul Revere" goes the immortal poem of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in describing Paul Revere's famous ride to warn American patriots that the British were approaching Boston...but there weas another ride, one much less famous but likely just as important, made by a patriot named Jack Jouett in Charlottesville, VA, in 1781, that may well have saved Thomas Jefferson's bacon as well as three other signers of the Declaration of Independence-men whose capture would have meant a terrible blow to American morale and the beginning of the end for the American revolution, the fate of which, in 1781, was hanging by a thin thread.   Credit: Beethoven's Figlio Perdido by the Berliner Orchestra Our website: Facebook:   Sponsor us at PLEASE SHARE OUR SHOW!  THANKS
